Christ what an age we live in.
QuoteJeff "Mantas" Dunn and Anthony "Abaddon" Bray, iconic co-founders of the pioneering black metal band Venom, are reaching out to their loyal fans—the "Legions"—for support in a legal battle against former bandmate Conrad "Cronos" Lant. Since 2023, Mantas and Abaddon have fought to resolve two critical issues: securing recognition for their contributions to Venom's legendary artwork and claiming their rightful share of merchandise profits from albums they co-wrote and performed, including Welcome to Hell (1981), Black Metal (1982), At War with Satan (1984), and Possessed (1985).
Now in their 60s, Mantas and Abaddon seek a fair resolution to ensure their families benefit from Venom's enduring legacy, which helped define the black metal genre. "We're simply asking for what is rightfully ours," they said in a joint statement. "After decades of avoidable conflict, we want peace and closure." Despite efforts to resolve the dispute amicably, the duo has been forced to pursue legal action, incurring significant personal and financial costs.

Mantas & Abbadon Venom are on Keep it True live. Abbadons still a shite drummer, but good craic for Friday beers.
The guy from Interceptor did most of the set, but Tom is Angelripper & Schmier have got up to do a few bits with them.
It's a feckin' shambles 😂
I'm at it. They were rough as fuck, but it was still cool to see some of the heads playing with them. The Interceptör lad did a very good Cronos impression, to be fair. Sanctuary were fucking deadly before them, total class.
It's on YouTube now.
As said it's great seeing the guest spots but overall it's a bit off.
That guitar tone is shite and it looked like the curtain drop was about 2 minutes early.

Was watching last night at work and thought the exact same thing, dude sounds like he ate Cronos .Great to hear him digging out Chanting Of the Priests too.

Have you listened to Witherfall? It's the Sanctuary vocalists other band. They are very good.
I haven't but I will check them out, nice one. On the subject of replacement singers, Kyle Exhorder was fucking superb for Trouble, which I didn't really expect. Really impressive.
He was, What did you think of the new Sanctuary guy, just watching the live stream, he comes across a bit ...rock star? Certainly lacking the gravitas of Dane. No doubting the pipes though.
Yeah, there's a bang of drama school there for sure but he nailed the songs. They were a level above most of the other bands, really enjoyable. I'm love to see them over here in the Academy, somewhere like that.

Aye, it was a great set. Not the biggest Trouble fan aside from the hits, but Kyle feckin' nailed it.
