Title: A Lost Forgotten Sad Album
Post by: Maggot Colony on August 28, 2025, 09:56:04 AM
I'm currently listening to the Asphyx self-titled from 1994. The album is an absolute ripper but I rarely hear it mentioned. The Rack and Last One on Earth are classics so I can understand why it's not held in as high regard, but it's even been overshadowed by their later stuff like Death...The Brutal Way.

Any other albums by bands that have fallen through the cracks?

An incredible album, I didn't get to hear it until about 15 years after it was released when it was highly recommended on an old Southern Lord forum offshoot.

It's mighty. A very overlooked album.

I only bought it myself in recent years after someone compared it to Hate by Sinister, which is one of my favourite death metal albums.
