Not into Deafheaven but Portrayal of Guilt definitely makes this worth considering for me.

I like both bands so have picked up a ticket, will see them both at Damnation a month earlier as well.
I thought they were great when they played the Button Factory a couple of years ago. The new album sounded decent on first listen but didn't immediately grab me. I'll have to give it a proper listen before making a decision on this.
I've seen Portrayal of Guilt and they're absolutely class live so that's enough to sell me on this.
New Deafheaven is great
Yet to check that one out, do they go back to the black metal sound or is it another shoegaze album?

I loved infinite granite but this is more like sunbather, most of the songs 5-6 minutes or less and more of the black metal sound.
Not so bad, cheers. Yeah IG is grand when you're in the mood but I prefer the earlier stuff.
