Where to start? The only song I've heard from them in the past was "Summertime Love" and I didn't like it at all, however recently I've been hearing the odd tune on the internet radio and though to myself that's not to shoddy, they possibly seem to have a bit more balls than I thought, any tips for an album to start with for an impatient fucker?
Start with any of the early 80s stuff - Earthshaker/Black Tiger/Mean Streak/In Rock We Trust
One of the most underrated bands of the era in my opinion

Sounds like a plan..cheers!
Very underrated band for sure. Check out a recent documentary on them too. Should have been way bigger than some of their rivals. They played Dublin about 3 times in the last 10 years maybe, but the turnout was poor which is a real pity as they deserve better I reckon. Belfast too over the years but haven't added Irish dates for a while. Brilliant live.
Wasn't really familiar with them before catching them at Keep it True Rising last year. They played just as I was hitting the festival slump and perked me right back up, came at the perfect time. Mean Streak, In Rock We Trust and Black Tiger are all absolutely savage records
Black Tiger !
The early stuff is great. They suppored AC/DC here back in 1983 on the Back in Black tour. The yesterday and today live album from 1991 is a good place to start

Wouldn't that have been the Flick Of The Switch or For Those... tour? Always loved Mean Streak, definitely underrated
Ooops it was 1982 and for those about to rock tour

as above, and Facemelter, a newer one, and Live at the Mystic well worth a listen.
One of my faves, never thought I'd see Dave live but saw them a couple of times in Whelans in the early 10's. Great gigs.
They've just done the UK the last few times though, and skipped here, disappointingly.
