TBC
Deadly announcement! I was just listening to Defiance this morning. Excellent supports too!
Fantastic- I enjoyed the last album a lot, should be good live.
Last album and MLP were awful but still a great live band. Would love to go but I think ill be out of the country when this is on.
I have to say I loved the last album!
Terror Abraxas for me was the last great release. Defiance wasn't all that great of an album either.
Sick if I do miss this have seen them a few times but never in Ireland every time they played here something would come up and I couldn't go then the one time I was able to go the gig with Watain was cancelled.
Savage announcement. I liked the last album a lot bar Guillotine which is probably the worst song they've done to date. Wouldn't mind hearing a couple songs off it
There'll be a gig on the 7th as well all going to plan. Will post more details soon.

Limerick??
I'm guessing he means another Dublin show to turn it into a mini-weekender, not another Irish D666 date.
That was my interpretation as well.
That is indeed what I meant.
Balls, would've loved to catch them in Limerick again
Throw a limerick date in while yere at it, the limerick lads could do with some cheering up ;)
 To add insult to injury, the thread was started by a Cork man.
Rebels abú :abbath:
Ticket sorted. Looking forward to this.
Gig now confirmed for the 7th. More details to follow.
Is the show on the 7th international bands or just local ones?
I'll wear my national party t shirt
Strange that you have one.
Quote from: mickO))) on June 13, 2025, 11:06:15 AMIs the show on the 7th international bands or just local ones?
1 international, 2 Irish.
Metallica, U2 and Enya is my bet.
You were told that in confidence.
True but it was too big a secret to keep.
Hells are reissuing the first 3 7" releases. I have the comp LP but this is one of the rare cases where I will most likely also buy the 7". Some great artwork and the material is fantastic.
I got mixed up and thought this was Bestial Warlust, until I realised I didn't know any of the albums. :'(
Quote from: BobbyAxelrod on July 01, 2025, 11:57:53 AMI got mixed up and thought this was Bestial Warlust, until I realised I didn't know any of the albums. :'(
No Bestial Warlust split up over 30 years ago. If they were playing it would be a massive event.
I bought a ticket for this but not really sure how it's supposed to work - says it's been shipped on the Invictus site so it gets posted out?
I don't think physical tickets are being done for the show.
Physical tickets will be given to customers on the night of the gig.
50% sold out already!!!

Just curious as to why you think that Micko, I get that Never Surrender for the most part consists of pretty basic rabble rousers but done well surely?
It's pub metal with a black metal twist as opposed to the typical snarl that D666 always had, to me.
Yep, fair enough, I can see that

It just feels like a really watered down version of the earlier stuff.
Ouch, H just announced Spectral wound the same night as this :-X
BIg cross over in the fanbase there you'd imagine, theyll have to come up with a plan.SW afternoon show or something!
You can be sure there'll be no plan put in place. Doomstar, SW and that promoter knew this was on.
Most would pick D666 over Spectral wound anyway I would guess? I know I would!
Mad decision to book knowing the clash.
Fucking mad!

"Well folks ,due to reasons beyond our control, we can no longer take part in the upcoming Strike of the Pack tour. Its a bugger, but what can you do?
It was one hell of a lineup and woulda been one for the books but you play the cards you`re dealt. And yas got dealt a two card flush with Adorior and Ares Kingdom. So we expect the whole wolf pack out there raisin metal standards at the front.
Never fkn surrender!
Anyway time is short and we got an old grave to dig up."

What does that have to do with the gig?
A few bands had visas refused. Incase you missed the memo, America is a dumpster fire.

Isn't that just for America? Hope so anyway.
Ya, it is. They are made up of an Aussie, a Chilean, an Iranian and a Frenchie based in Europe. One of those countries could pose an issue to a visa.
Any update on a venue yet?
Just an email saying there will be an update soon. Seems a little overkill - can't imagine there are too many people in ireland will give a shit they are playing here.
'tis a bit silly. Antifa here are more concerned with the dickheads throwing fireworks into ipas centres than d666.

What is controversial about them? I'm only familiar with the music and never read an interview with them.
I know there are some corners of the internet that try to label all black metal as NSBM.
I do remember many years ago a story ran in the News of the World claiming Watain spray blood on the audience members and that gig was cancelled.
Better safe than sorry lets not forget all those years ago people tried to get a Watain show here cancelled.

Really? That's mental I never heard of that. I'd assumed if people couldn't be bothered protesting for Disturbed they wont blink an eye at this.
People are more likely to harass a venue of a show this size rather than the 3 arena. A more achievable 'win' to pat each other on the back over.
Is the venue announced?
Looks like it's Lost Lane from the Invictus website.
I hear this has to be moved now :-X
Feck off  jeasas
How many are genuinely going to turn up and disrupt a D666 gig here?. Seems extreme to move it!
I have a vision of long haired leather clad attendees being followed from a distance by protesters waving banners.
The intrepid ticket holders go in the front door and sneak out the back to run to the real venue.
What an absolute pain in the whole if stuff has to be moved because people don't like what someone has said.
Will they not just disrupt it regardless of the location?
Is it the venue who are insisting on it being moved in light of the potential protest?
Where ever it is it's an early show now doors at 4 - maybe I can squeeze Spectral Wound in too.
Fuck ,was getting a bus up for half four .
Hardly worth it now .cunts

QuoteDeströyer 666, particularly lead singer K. K. Warslut, have espoused racist, Islamophobic, misogynistic, and homophobic messages at their concerts. Warslut said that Muslims were "invading" performing in Germany in 2012. During a show at New York City's Saint Vitus in 2016, he led the audience to chant "no pussies" and "no faggots" before calling an Asian attendee a "chink." While performing in Sweden in 2018, Warslut said that women participating in the MeToo movement "need a hard dick" and called them "political cunt suckers."[5] In 2019, a planned tour of Australia and New Zealand was cancelled after the publicizing of some of these incidents.[6][7][8][9] Due to the tour's close proximity to the Christchurch shooting, Anti-Defamation Commission head Dvir Abramovich criticised it.[6]

If a venue have no problem hosting a band, and an audience wants to see it I can't see the problem. If a group of Nazis want to shove pineapples up each other's holes while reading excerpts from Mein Kampf, who am I to stop them.

I knew you were joking, I was just laughing at the bullshit of the whole scenario. Deciding not to go to a gig because you don't like the opinions of the singer is fine. A bit weird to me, but fair enough, you can decide you don't like what they stand for and save your money- although if it's a band you like I don't see what real difference it makes that you think the singer is an eejit. But whatever, I get it in theory. But to not let anyone else go along because your feelings are hurt is bullshit. Words are violence, maaan.
It's also telling that people are happy to be able to hit the Spectral Wound gig afterwards. They can run straight from the dangerous Nazi rally to the left wing black metal gig. Wait, maybe it's actually just about music, like we all knew anyway.
I hear d666 are going to the George afterwards to suck Willies..

Yep that was 19 years ago now in 06. I saw GBK in Italy in 2010 and was chatting to Alex about it. I had a great night in Bruxelles around that time where someone tried to convince me, hilariously enough, that twas me who got the GBK gig cancelled on the basis that I'm a lefty and at the time was living near the venue. Needless to say I didn't and was more than happy to set that straight.
Avoided commenting on this circus all day because, frankly, I couldn't give a shit, but I'd genuinely be surprised if this was the organised work of supposed Antifa bogeymen, because I'm sure id have heard rumblings through the grapevine if that were the case. And as was pointed out, the serious lefty heads have more important fish to fry right now than a gig by some dumbass.
For the record I fucking hate D666 but I don't regard them as any kind of nazi band, and I don't see what cancelling this would have done bar give them the attention they desperately want. Don't like em?Don't go see em..simple. If it were Goatmoon or someone maybe I'd be more opposed but it isn't.
Well after all the bullshit that was amazing, venue was really cool too. Too bad the set by D666 was pretty short.
WOTH were asked to pay that GBK gig. As you can probably guess, I had to issue playing with them. I don't believe that politics is necessarily contagious and the world of metal is all about the exploration of dark, antisocial themes. Do what thous bleedin wilt, jeknowarrameeyin.

I can't see the issue with D666 playing.
