Title: Flogging A Dead Carcass 7 album vinyl boxset
Post by: Carnage on February 28, 2025, 04:36:18 PM
Earache releasing all 7 Carcass albums on vinyl, in a delightfully ironically titled boxset:

€220-€250 or thereabouts, depending on variation.

Don't have the funds handy, but that is actually fairly tempting, even for someone like me who was a bit meh on the two reformation albums.

I'd put Surgical Steel up there with Symphonies or Necroticism, one of those that grew on me more and more with every listen, but Torn Arteries did nothing for me at all.

Same here, Torn Arteries was very notable dip. Dull as fuck.

The heart says yes. The wallet says"G'way ta fuck"you've got some of them already ".

Suprised the Nuclear Blast era stuff is there too. I don't mind the new stuff they probably didn't need to do Torn Arteries but they're still having fun and more popular than ever .

Says the NB albums are licenced for this, they seems to do a lot of that these days, they had a lot of recent Godflesh stuff for a while too.

Don't Earache have their own pressing facility too? Makes sense and probably  quicker turnaround than GZ or Optimal for that sort of package.

I don't have any of the Carcass stuff on vinyl anymore but I don't want to drop another 200 odd quid on a boxset from these cunts. I got the Morbid Angel boxset they released recently, nothing special. The sleeves on Blessed and Altars are shite looking compared to the originals. Same with Roadrunner and Deicide, sleeves are shite. Listenable did a decent job with the Obituary and Pestilence reissues. They were meant to be reissuing Deicide and Legion too, but it fell through for whatever reason.
