Open Face Surgery put me on to these lads the other day. The phase/ chorus/ delay or whatever combo of effects they've plied on the guitars is a good start as far as I'm concerned, but importantly the songwriting and riffsmithery underneath is really interesting. Despite having rather tasty, snarling black metal vocals, I think the maing intrigue comes from the interesting musicianship. Maybe a little like Ved Buens Ende...? But not exactly like them either. I think they've concocted something all their own. I just ordered the tape.

This demo arrived today. I thought heavy metal postie might have stuck it in his pocket as it took so long to arrive, but he never let's me down. He's a good lad. I have Friday off so I'll lob it on for a proper spin then 8)
Listened to the whole album when you posted it first, and full new album listens rarely happen here these days. The OTT effects are the kind of thing that could really annoy me, but it all seems fairly reasonable here, somehow...
I think the inventive riffs make it compelling beyond the interesting, warpy production.
Must have missed it previously - listening now and very cool. Guitar effects coupled with the very considered riffs is hitting the spot alright, never felt like any section was a chore, cheers for posting!
