Terrible name, there's no getting around it. It's the kind of name I just wouldn't even register, and would usually write off as dull amp worship doom, but I am happy to be proven wrong on this occasion. These dudes from Germany have concocted a pleasant mix of heavy metal and black metal (first wave by their own admission. Fine, I'll accept it) and stamped their own gnarled identity onto it. Revolutionary not, but pretty fucking good. The vocals remind me at times of The Lamp of Thoth, so yeah, there's that eccentric touch in there as well.

CD landed today and looks great. The artwork is really psychedelic, folkish and fitting. Looking forward to diving into it over the coming weeks.
