Can't say I totally disagree with you on that, reminds me of the sound Sneap gave Hell. Strange though, cos it's not Sneap but rather Arthur Rizk who most recently did... Absolute Elsewhere!

Yeah production isn't great, especially in the intro sounds a bit off. I read Rizk mixed it alongside King/La Roque, they should just let him do the whole thing himself.

Musically the song seems fine to me, but the guitars sounds a bit dry and front-loaded, and are oddly spaced.
The drums are really flat sounding too, like a demo or some of those lockdown recordings.

Here's an interesting one, the 1988 'Them' lineup of King Diamond have formed a new band...without the King! Strange move since Laroque is still in KD but the tune is better than expected.

The music is decent but the vocals bring absolutely not darkness to it, which is really what you'd want from this line up. A bit more evil!

In fairness he did have major heart surgery a few years ago and I think he holds off on long-term touring due to his kid.
He had his heart surgery over 15 years ago! :laugh:
Don't know what he does with his days, but it certainly isn't working on new music. Which would be fine if he didn't keep saying since about 2018 that the new album will be ready "next year"
