I rediscovered these oddball drone dudes the other night having not listened to them in many years and never previously buying any of their releases. I am not much of a fan of drone in general but these guys have a little extra weirdness or maybe just riffiness going that appeals to me. It turns out Dungeon Tapes has recently reissued their back catalogue on tape so I just dropped a few quid on that. Any other heads remember them?
Recall hearing about them years ago. Listening to them now. They're very minimal but quite atmospheric.

I just recently found their Forest Of Doom cd hidden away for ages. I can hardly mind how they sound bar it being drone. Must be at least 10/12 years since i last listened to it.
Got the tapes in the post today, which was very quick coming from the states. They look nice but I won't get to spin them for a while until the new stereo arrives.
A bunch of their stuff is up on Bandcamp (https://trollmannavildtoppberg.bandcamp.com/) too, £2 a pop. Tape is the ideal medium for this kind of music though.
Tolling Beyond the Tombs of Ancient Grimnity playing here now, so thread necromancy ov doom is called for. Really nice, minimal and melodic stuff here. Simple and repetitive, but slowly and gradually evolving in shape as it goes along. I like the gnarly distorted bass lines running alongside the prettiness.
The songs get gradually darker, grimmer as the album proceeds. The rattling death bells in the title track add so much.
Live at the Tyne on now. A more ambient affair all round.
The Forest of Doom up next. Quite different again. More varied, yet somehow no less minimal.
