Only with Accept back in the 80s I'd say.
I went to see him last year and his voice was still quite strong. Has he recently rebranded to Dirkschneider? Didn't actually realise who it was at first.
He plays under the Dirkschneider name when he only plays Accept songs, goes under U.D.O. for his solo stuff. I'm really looking forward to this, Saxon were savage in the Olympia 2 years ago and just as good supporting Priest in the 3 Arena last year, plus Brian Tatler is playing with them now. Always wanted to see Udo and even better he's playing Accept songs. I'll be there!
Anyone get an MCD presale link for this? Mine hasn't come through yet.

Thanks a million for that! I never got email. Got a standing ticket there no bother. Cheers!

Thanks, got a standing ticket, missed them last time in Olympia, was crying when I saw the setlist, wasn't at the Priest gig either, last time was the Academy, it's a long way off but not missing this one.
By the way, did you get this in an email from MCD?
Edit: After this I got an email from MCD with upcoming gigs which had resale buttons, but the Saxon one still just said tickets, no presale link.????
No I didn't register for the presale. I just added ?did=prompre to the end of the Ticketmaster URL and it grants access. The MCD presale is usually just a non-unique link, everyone gets emailed the same URL. Whereas artist presales are often individual links or require a code.
Happened to me last month as well actually buying tickets for Rise Against in the Olympia, I registered on MCD but never received the email so just used that trick and it was fine.

Good to know, thanks.
Picked up a standing ticket. Never actually caught a Saxon headline set. Chuffed!
Does anybody know stage times for Belfast tonight?
Quote from: GravyCapone on November 04, 2025, 01:59:41 PMDoes anybody know stage times for Belfast tonight?
DirkSchneider 19:45
Saxon 21:15
according to limelight Facebook
Any reports from Belfast? Hope it was a good show. Heading to Dublin tonight. Stage-times appreciated if known.
Was just on her to ask the same thing. How was Biff after his heart attack?
According to Olympia website Dirkschneider are on from 7.45 to 8.45 and Saxon 9.15 to 11.00
Biff seemed fit and healthy for a man of his age. Saxon were great as usual.
But seeing Udo playing in Belfast and sounding so good just couldn't be topped in my opinion. Great gig, wish I was heading down to Dublin tonight!
Really looking forward to seeing Udo, he is some character, must have around 100 albums at this stage
On the way... should be a belter 8)

And it was, and we got two extra numbers, unless the Belfast setlist is incorrect, sacrifice and atbpo..
Never saw a support band get the reaction and appreciation Udo got, knew the title track beforehand not much else, but will check out more after hearing him, some tracks were just unreal...
Two great bands - felt a bit like a double bill watching UDO - although I'm a fan for years. The band seemed thrilled with the crowd. Enough to come back and headline in Ireland? Venue rammed too. Saxon in top form. Think Biff is sounding the best he has in years.
