Post by: Herbert West on January 29, 2019, 09:52:31 AM
https://www.grindcorefilm.com/

"Slave To The Grind is the first documentary on Grindcore to capture the genre's 35 year life span. The film takes you to Japan, the United States, UK, Australia, Singapore, Finland and Sweden to discuss why the genre has persisted, and changed, over time."

Haven't seen this yet but it's only €3.59 to rent a digital copy. I plan on watching it with a few beers this weekend.
Hopefully it doesn't focus too much on pornogrind.

I used to live with someone who listened to pornogrind exclusively. Bad times.

I finally got around to watching this and was fairly underwhelmed.
It starts off as a chronological history of the genre but quickly loses focus and tries to cover too much ground.
The segment on Carcass is laughably brief while a disproportionate amount of time is spent on bands like Alan Cunt and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. At one point the documentary felt like a Behind The Music special about Seth Putnam.
There are some interesting interviews but overall it's an incoherent mess.
