They only recently announced more shows in the Kentish Town Forum and Manchester, and tickets were just released this morning and are still available.
No Irish show unfortunately, but a rare opportunity to see Bungle after being dormant for 24 years, and now with Dave Lombardo and Scott Ian to boot.
Both support acts are deadly as well so am very much looking forward to this one!
Love spotlights too. Actually tempted to go to one of the dates. I hate that they are only playing the Raging Wrath stuff, I don't particularly give a shit about it one way or another, but I fuckin adore the rest of their output and Disco Volante is one of the best albums (if not THE best) ever made. What do ye think, is there any chance whatsoever of getting anything off the three main albums at these or am I just getting my hopes up?

Same as yourself tbh. That they've held out this long is impressive, considering they keep adding more and more covers to the Raging Wrath set lately, but if they're ever going to play 'Squeeze Me Macaroni' or something like it, then I foolishly believe it will be the London show.
They're going to play two third of "My Ass Is On Fire" and that's it lads. There's no way they'll be doing any of the good stuff with this line up. Hopefully as soon as they've done these shows they either get back to picking up where they left off, or just pack it in.

Yeah you're probably right. I'm just getting my hopes up after the last Faith No More reunion in London Brixton (2009) had them pulling out a load of old surprises.

I missed this. I know yeah I am only codding meself that they will do anything off the main albums. Would rather they packed it in and gave Spruance more time back at SC3 really - maybe a satellite band collab with Patton for a portion of it would be nice - but if it stays as it is live now I have no interest.
I'm in the same boat. Give me the real Mr Bungle or fuck off. Have zero interest in the Raging Wrath stuff but fucking adore the three proper albums. I don't even think I'd go to the bother of heading to Dublin for this if they had a date there. Ah well...

Love it, absolutely magnificent record even though it's probably the one I revisit least of the three albums - "The Holy Filament" and "Vanity Fair" are easily the two most underrated Bungle tracks in my book . Mind you I love everything they've done to varying degrees, with this re-recording of Easter bunny being bottom of the list (I'll even take the terrible teenage ska of "Bowl of Chiley" over it).
Much as I'd love to see them do the first three albums, what I'd really like from them at this point is something new that isn't a straight up thrash metal record. And I'd wager that if we do ever get something new from them, it most certainly won't be.
I'm guessing Theo Lengyel won't be making any guest appearances at these gigs given recent news anyway...

You might enjoy knowing that Vanity Fair was originally recorded during Disco Volante sessions, but unused, and was dug back up by Patton when they were working on California when he had an idea of how it should go. Trevor Dunn wrote the majority of it originally and it was reworked to suit whatever idea Patton had, but Spruance mentioned in an interview one time the whole core of the song was Dunn's doing.

It was their main three albums that got me into them as well and not too arsed with the new/old set, so got tickets to Book Of Mormon the day after.
I started this, then went to the London gig and never followed up.
It wasn't great after. Crowd were well up for it, but the old teenage thrash wasn't really working for anyone. They played 'My Ass is on Fire' and 'Love is a Fist' and we all went nuts, then a few cheesy covers, so most of us went home happy. It's not something you would go out of your way to see.
Spotlights were savage though

I just can't get into the old stuff at all but I did watch the live video and thought it was good. Pity to hear they weren't great
