Whopper announcement.
Ah yeah. Never seen em. I may have to pop along
Happy days \m/
Finally they are back. Saw them supporting Suffocation back in November and they were great as always.
Sake. My missus is due the 9th, don't think I'll be making this one
You have a sprog on the way Squigs?? Congrats dude 8)
Aye, some craic - we'll have Onwards... blasting in the delivery room
Savage man. You'll love it.
The first music my son heard when I brought him back from the hospital was Reverend Bizarre. Not a bad start.
My 2 year old lad got hold of my phone recently. Autopsy's Headless Ritual album was on the lock screen. He pressed play and started laughing away at Slaughter at Beast House. Herself wasn't too happy when she saw the album cover he was giggling at!
Well seeing as this is now a parenting conversation my 19 year old daughter randomly dropping Mortician songs into a conversation yesterday was bizarrely hilarious.
Anyway, yes, Incantation are playing.
Not much banter about this but it ain't that far away now. Really looking forward to it, what's the capacity for the Academy 2?
About 200, I'd say.
Is it local support for this, anyone?
Celestial Sanctuary, think they're from the uk
Oh ok ,have to have a look, never heard of them, thanx :abbath:
Set times for this Sunday. I can't wait to see Incantation again.
Times (subject to change):
Doors 7
Celestial Sanctuary 7.45
Incantation 8.45
Thanx for times :abbath:
Dying for this - hope they get a decent turnout!
And mick - you're going, maybe we can talk mortician!
Yeah sounds good. Will did vocals on the first Incantation demo and John played guitar on the first Mortician demo.
They put up a video facebook on March 20th of the merch lots of good stuff and it is cash only.
I had a look at a setlist from this week 2 from Onward, 3 from Mortal and 2 from Diabolical + good songs from the later albums.

Cheers for that, I hardly ever bring cash and was looking to pick up a bit of swag. Did they have anything good?
The Sylosis gig was cancelled for tonight because of the weather. Reckon this one is in danger?
??? I've a 7hr round trip ahead of me tomorrow, any updates much appreciated
According to the Stena website the ferries tomorrow are scheduled to go ahead I'd keep an eye there first and foremost before making your way to Dublin - that's a long auld trip dude
Yeah, tell me about it, I'll be keeping a close eye on that, ta

The video is not very clear I would say whoever shot it was pissed. They had loads of stuff. Shirts, vinyl (Onward, Diabolical, Sect and the latest album), Cds, Hats, beanies etc.
I saw that other show was switched to the Monday hopefully if this doesn't go ahead they can do the same as I think this is the last date of the tour. H put up an update 5 hours ago about tickets on the door etc. so all looks good for now and I would imagine if the Ferry is cancelled we will know by tonight.
Ferries still all say ok for tomorrow so far. When would they cancel?

Great news!
Onward then, To Golgotha!

That video should be listed as false advertisement- fuck all merch there for incantation.
Support well stocked
The merch was shite but the gig was brilliant. I think that was my 6th time seeing them and it was without a doubt the best.
Great show alright and John is such a sound dude. They deserve a bigger audience , what was there 120-130?
Rocked way harder than most of their peers.
I only got in 10 minutes before Incantation started and was up near the front so no idea how many were there but the crowd seemed very decent. I forgot and thought this place was out the back where the merch is sometimes setup. The only time I can remember being there before was for Absu.
It was great to hear his weak hand I wasn't expecting anything from Blasphemy. It is such an underrated album. Hopefully this is the start of them coming back here now crazy that it has been 17 years since a band like that played here when they play at least once a year in England.
I'm guessing the merch situation was down to the fact we were the last stop on the tour , they've just done somewhere in the region of 25 dates across Europe . Also, having watched a few of those shows on YouTube prior to this I'm pretty sure no one else got the Evil Dead bonus at the end. Nice touch.
They played Evil Dead at all of the English shows it was his weak hand that was only played at the last 2-3 shows before that they were playing Chalice (Vessel Consanguineous) VIII instead. When John got the crew up on stage for the shots I was thinking wankers are after playing a slightly shorter set then everywhere else so it was great that they came back on after that and did two more.
John must be getting or has arthritis because he was shaking his hands and cracking his knuckles in between each song. I noticed Kirk doing the same thing at the Crowbar shows in February.
Ah yeah merch totally understandable, I just happened to have a couple of extra bucks last night and was looking forward to picking up a record.
Cover was a bonus as was the Blasphemy track. I agree Mick that's a really underrated record, quite possibly my favourite track of the night
Speaking of attendance- anyone remember the bloke on the old forum that thought Incantation were a huge draw?
Seen John cracking the hand alright but it did look like he knocked it off the metal beam on the ceiling earlier on when he raised the guitar.
Didn't see any of the English shows, just a few from Eastern Europe. First time in there, in the bowels of the Academy, not a bad wee spot, easy access from Bus Aras, decent pints ,I did have a worrying look at the amount of pillars in the place though when John called for a circle pit.
Sound was great. Wish they played in an actual venue with a stage.
Aye true enough, I had a neck up view from where I was , I'm not one for going down the front anymore
The low stage is annoying. It looks like Bell Witch tomorrow is close to selling out so that is going to be nightmare.
Incantation were savage..bit annoying john kept saying''alright you irish kunts''
Ah it was something he was doing throughout the tour though I raised an eyebrow too when I first heard it in the Athens show, "You Greek Cunts"
