Support is Jinjer, Obituary, and Jesus Pieces.
Tickets on sale 9AM 13th December.
Any presale codes lads
€80 a ticket, might have to give this a pass. I'd love to see Sepultura one last time, but couldn't give a shit about the other bands
Almost sold out!
Sold Out now on ticketmaster.
Can't say I'd rush to see Sepultura but I'd really like to see Jesus Piece live at some point.
Their "Only Self" record still gets a regular airing.
I can't believe this sold out so fast especially with tickets being almost double the price of what they were for last years show. I guess it being the last show is what moved tickets so fast.
All those bloody Brazilians over here hoovering up the tickets!
No Chance of an upgraded venue? That was lightning fast..........
What venue is bigger apart from 3 arena?
I wonder if this could have actually played the 3 arena. If that Machine Head/Amon Amarth show with the curtains down at half capacity could turn a profit (assuming it did), then this probably could have.
I wonder will it join the list of farewell tours that were not.
Pity it wasn't a bigger venue.
Pity it isn't a better lineup!
I believe it was worth to see Sepultura with Obituary in 1990. In 2024? Not really..

Eloy Casagrande has left the band and they've got Grayson Nekrutman from Suicidal Tendencies on drums for the foreseeable. Absolutely savage drummer.

Eloy to Slipknot, I would say.
Got a ticket for Belfast, although I'm more interested in Jesus Piece and Obituary.
Does anyone know if ins and outs are allowed at the Olympia? I have in my head that they are cunts for this. I want to see Jesus Piece who are on at 6 but I won't be able to sit through Jinjer.
Lol, I forgot Obituary were playing this one until I checked the stage times. The (assumed, by me) three band line-up already seemed savage, but Obituary are a favourite of mine.
Enjoyed that. JP were great, that's the first time I've enjoyed Obituary live in well over a decade the shorter set worked well for them and as much as I like to shit on the Derrick Green Sepultura they were very good. The only non Max track I recognised was choke. I was hoping for song against and maybe one or two from Roorback since that's the non Max stuff I would know best.
A sold out Olympia is awful. Squashed for the entire Sepultura set and wankers were constantly pushing all night. Was some bald prick with his beard tied up who was up at the barrier, kept leaving his spot every few mins then would come back just expecting the crowd to part for him so he could get back to where he was and when they didn't he just kept pushing and shoving his way through. Emperor crowd wise was much better I know that wasn't sold out but was close to it and at least you could breathe. The no ins and outs is also a load of bollox.
Anyone see the Eastern European fella outside with the dreadlocks running around shouting that the bouncers were racist to metal heads? They had so fella pinned down on the ground who I assume was his mate and this before any of the bands even played 😂
Obituary were savage. Never saw "Sepultura" and didn't really care for that either. Don't like Derrick Green at all, vocalwise or stage presence, and while it was good to hear a few classic tunes, they massively lack the second guitar.
too soon for the Max and Igor robbing back the name comments ?

hey Mick I saw that bollocks at the door roaring, they seemed to be refused admission I saw the lad on the ground throwing shapes and got a nice slap. Two cunts
Sae that other bald prick also in and out all night with the drinks too a pure ball bag also, plenty of clowns in the crowd.
To the music thought Jesus piece sere ok that metal core doesn't really do it for me.
Obituary were goo, Jinjer lead singer is great but really they're not great though.
Sepultura were fantastic, Greene is ferocious and Andreas was brilliant all night. Loved it.

Andreas and Paolo own it so they'd have to either license it or go to court. Andreas covered himself when Max walked in 97.
I'd say the victory lap a la Slayer with the original lineup is inevitable in a few years.

And no doubt with an Ozzy (Sharon) style contract prohibiting either party from using the name without any of them.
Andreas has put put out an offer for Max and Igor to join them at the final show in Brazil, so I guess it depends if Gloria will let them

Neither original members so how did they swing that? I presume the Cavaleras are still getting royalties for the songs played.

I just remembered when reading your post that the fella with the dreadlocks was asking people in the queue to stop laughing and to help him  . I wouldn't class JP as metalcore they are more hardcore like a mix between Terror and 200 Stab Wounds and they don't have any of those clean vocal passages. The main support Jinjer would be more metalcore. What a shite band they had to have paid a nice hefty fee to get that main support slot and it will probably work out for them since so many of the shows are sold out now.
Sepultura had some nice merch that updated Arise shirt was great pricy at €35 but I would guess that is down to the greedy pricks in the Olympia stealing a percentage of the sales from them.
I missed out on Dublin tickets so went up to Belfast. The Telegraph Building is great for a gig, unless you're queuing for merch because then you're likely missing the first band.
Jesus Piece were good. I've never seen a hard-core band live so enjoyed that. Obituary were class. Really glad to have caught them after missing in 2018 I think.
Jinjer just aren't for me. Metalcore is it? No thanks
Lads, I've never said something and been so confident of being correct in my life - someone definitely fucking shat themselves in the pit. It was unmistakable. I've got a shocking sense of smell but that was putrid.
Other than that, crowdsurfers can get fucked. I saw one go over the railing and eat shit so bad. Like really fucking bad. Security were nowhere to be seen when he approached the railing and the way he hit his head I thought he'd die on the spot. Madness. Also there was some cunt in a wheelchair about 3 bodies back from the railing. Fuckin stayed there the entirety of the Sepultura set, the fuckin legend.

Think the publishing is still shared by them all, Andreas was pretty much advised by Newstead I think to cover himself and the lads as Gloria was going to screw them out of various agreements with Roadrunner.
You could tell at the time the difference between all the press that the first Soulfly got compared to Against and the less classier digs at that lads via Blabbermouth/Kerrang etc.
Soulfly are terrible

Aye, flogged the hell out of a pretty emaciated horse for a good few years until he started wearing old school death metal merch instead of Kappa tracksuits.
Was at the Belfast show - missed Jesus Piece, didn't fancy it from what i'd heard of them beforehand. Obituary were great, though sadly nothing off The End Complete, but we did get one tune of World Demise. Jinjer - not my bag, music was utterly pointless and the vocals were ok - it's pretty much the definition of stick a female in any averagely competent Metal band and they'll achieve some degree of success.
It was enjoyable but all a bit surreal - Sepultura on a headlining "final tour", without the Cavaleras, having just seen the Cavaleras over the summer in the Limelight doing the early material. It was good, a massive production, great sound but just lacking something obvious that didn't make it feel as Sepultura as the the Cavalera show in June.
I may be totally off the mark, but with Andreas Kisser's wife dying, him wanting to "retire" Sepultura and Max is seemingly flat out running through his back catalogue at shows (Nailbomb & Sepultura), has Andreas geared up to sell the Sepultura brand back to the Cavaleras?
Given the whole Slayer thing, there's no way I see this as the end. in fact will any band truly end these days...
It does seem like a weird time for them to stop. All the lads seem to be in great condition for their ages especially Derrick and Andreas, Paulo looks to be a little slow but otherwise fine. The new drummer is great.
I don't know what way copyrights work as in did Max have to pay money to Andreas when I saw Soulfly doing Roots in full live with Igor a few years ago or not. I don't think it would make much sense for Max to buy the name and continue as is. If Max is touring under the Sepultura name then Paulo and Andres have to be part of it, it would be the difference between them say playing the 3 Arena here or playing the Academy.
I think Max and Igor either showing up or not showing up for the final show in Brazil will give a good indication of which way things are headed.

Derrick will do alright after the band finishes, he was an early investor in Liquid Death and probably gets a decent payout every quarter.
I didn't know he invested in that but I meant more how will he fill his days I can't see him joining any other bands and he won't be working at the local Walmart either.
I am sure over the 26 years he has been in Sepultura he has made enough to set himself up for life. He will even make a killing just on this final tour alone.

I'm pretty sure that Andreas said the end of Sepultura was to do with the death of his wife and wanting to be home with his kids. So probably no 'big' tours in the future.
He also wants to work with a charity in Brazil which brings palliative care to the favelas where needed. Again, this is related to the death of his wife.
Only watched Jesus Piece and Obituary in Belfast. JP were great but the sound wasn't as overwhelming as it should have been (I saw them in Nottingham last year and the sound was so loud and abrasive it felt like I was pinned to the wall). Obituary were immense.
There's a report on a podcast that a lady was assaulted at the Dublin show. According to her:
QuoteMy friends and I were standing facing the stage behind the barrier that separates the stage's front standing area and the back standing area of 3Olympia Theatre. This Polish guy and a couple arrived later on, and stood by us, this guy started complaining to my friend demanding him to stop headbanging, the couple joined this guy and started a fight. He punched me several times on my back ribs, he could have broken them. I'm shocked by this and now and afraid to go to gigs in Dublin anymore!
Cuntish behaviour.
What the fuck is a Jesus Piece, is it a play on Judas Priest or something?

It's slang for a gold/silver necklace. You hear it in a lot of the East Coast hip hop.

Alright, I think I'll go with Sworntothecans , final answer.

This is a classic example of people running away with things on the net. Just because an account like this was posted doesn't mean it's true. Due process and all. I see your one has happily posted pictures of her alleged aggressor too on social media and everyone has immediately jumped to conclusions. The only reason I mention it is because I've seen plenty of contradictory accounts, indicating the victim in question and her boyfriend were the aggressors, witnesses saying they were thrown out of Eddie Rockets Prior to the show for causing trouble and others suggesting they started the fight at the show.
Bottom line, if the account above were true - go to the Gardai and if true let it be handled correctly. Posts on facebook etc and internet trials are ridiculous. Especially looking at all the internet hard man posts - nauseating.

I wasn't at the gig, but I know the girl in question and I can guarantee she is absolutely not the type of person to start anything like that at a show. She attends loads of gigs here in Cork and in Limerick and has never had any issues or caused any issues previously.
I also don't believe for one second that she was kicked out of Eddie Rockets, or anywhere else for that matter, for causing trouble.
That's fair enough. You know her and can vouch - why not go to the Gardai so. She'll achieve nothing going the route she's going, which I still believe is wrong - there's a way to do things . If her account is true throw the book at him definitely.
The only reason I mention the Eddie rockets incident is that it reinforces that anyone can throw up anything online. It'll just go round and round.
Some people just don't have it in them to be causing shit like that.
Be it at a gig or at Eddie Rockets before hand.
And Daniela is 100% NOT that type of person. Complete polar opposite.
Was he a bald cunt? Out of interest
Only seen a crowd pic where he was singled out.
Could be bald? But had a camouflage cap on and wearing round Lennon type glasses.
Ritchie has the pic up on the Metal Cell Insta.
From what Dani has told me he had an issue with her and her friends headbanging and ended up pinning her up against the railing and throwing digs into her back.
Anyway Kreator next lets go

Igor stayed until like 2006. Max was the only one who left at the time, so couldn't get it.
