Thought I'd make a recent purchases thread for stuff that isn't metal. Don't think there was one before.
Anyway:
Hammer Horror 21 DVD box including Quartermass And The Pit, The Devil Rides Out and The Plague of Zombies.
The Hammer House Of Horror - Complete Collection DVD (TV series)
Dracula (1958) DVD
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance blu-ray
Shiri DVD
A Tale Of Two Sisters blu-ray
Been watching the Hammer House of Horror on the dodgy box lately myself it's great. Was kinda cool to find the Akercocke Choronzon connection too
On CD in the last few days
Sonny Rollins / Trio / Brass
Gang of Four - Return the Gift
Roger Waters - Radio KAOS
In the last month - came across some Japanese folk music, probably all belonged to the same person at one stage.
Kodo - Heartbeat Drummers Of Japan
Black Sun - Taiko
Junko Ueda - L'epopée des Heike
Ai Kanzaki - Japanese melodies

Old man rant but modern horror films don't do much for me. The older ones seem to have a bit of imagination to them.
Scored an OG "Elysium" by Fields of the Nephilim on vinyl in Waterford at the weekend
Was that in that Luca place? Haven't been in there in ages.
Yep

Too easy now to fall back on cgi and gore rather than generating a decent bit of dread. I get a bit more luck with the low(er) budget stuff in general because of this

Where's that in town? I thought there was only golden discs there
The same place Rainbow Records used to be. Near the Wacky Apple bar.
Sound I must have a look in there next time in the town. Much in the way of cool stuff in there?
I haven't been in there in ages so I don't know. Last few times I was in there I didn't see anything I wanted that I didn't have. Pricey, but if you include shipping for something you ordered online its probably roughly the same.
Very little metal, but there's some cool non-metal stuff in there for sure. I'd have said pricey too but knowing the lads and knowing the financial reality of keeping that place afloat, I'd have no objections.
Was in there a few times and only spotted things I already had. Must give another look in there soon.
