Whopper announcement. Should be great craic.
"Having just released their lethal new studio album Esto Es Brujeria, Mexican death grind legends BRUJERIA are pleased to announce that they will bring their murderous rampage to our shores next year. The band have announced their 'Esto Es Brujeria - UK & Ireland Tour 2024' with special guests Borstal (feat. Nick Barker on drums).
The mafiosos will present some of their new songs live in the flesh each night, showcasing tracks like 'Mochado', 'Bruja Encabronada' and 'El Patrón Del Reventón'.
El Patrón Juan Brujo states:
"Llevo la Raza para la gran Isla UK! Ahí nos vemos cabrones!"
Tickets will go on-sale Wednesday 4th October @ 10am"
Cool, definitely hit this
Woah another band I never thought I would see in Ireland. Have seen them twice before once at Hellfest years ago and on the 2018 tour. Great live band. New album was just released as well.
Same seen them at a few festivals and they were brilliant. Haven't listened to any of their stuff since Brujerizmo though, anything worth checking out?
Edit: Just saw they only have two albums out since then! I'll have to give them a spin later
LOL - was literally going to ask the same thing!
'Raza Odiada' is a good release, though that was when Dino Cazares and Raymond Herrera were in the band, along with Bill Gould from FNM. Not sure about any of the more recent material.
Thought Brujerizmo wasn't great, didn't bother with anything after. First 2 albums were great though.
Guy could do with a geography lesson, too.
I haven't listened to the latest yet it has only been out for about a week or so. I didn't get a physical copy because as seems to be the way with Nuclear Blast these days the vinyl is ridiculously expensive. The previous one was decent with it being the worst of the first 4. Personally Brujerizmo has always been my favourite I think it has the best songs especially for a live setting. The first two albums are great.
Yeah some of the vinyl pricing is out of control. I picked up a cd there off spindizzy at lunch time a more respectable €12
Sale on at Nuclear Blast and the latest album is €22 reduced from €40 for anyone looking for it. Put off buying it myself when it was released due to the ridiculous price. It is a very good album much better than the last one.

Didn't like the new one at all. I've hardly gone back to it - still dying for the gig as I think it'll be great craic. On record I only really like the first two.
I haven't listened to the new album, although I got the last album and it didn't have much staying power like the early material which has good hooks and memorable riffs.
The latest one is a lot like Brujerizmo which has always been my overall favourite.
Cool, I'll give it a listen over the weekend
a band i've know about for forever but just never got into.
part of me thinks this will be a great gig whether you know the material or not...

They are great live lots of crowd interaction.
The new album is good. Gave it a spin yesterday. Material should go down well live. Really looking forward to it now
Who's in the live band these days?

Yep - had a few listens - not bad at all.
Anyone know if Borstal are still supporting given Nick Barker's illness?
I see they're still playing but heard Nick won't be there, think someone filling in for him
Had 'Raza Odiada' on in the car yesterday, some great songs and parts on that album. Bit strange to have 3 hardcore bands opening the Belfast date but all good.

Raza is great, one thing though is the mad change in tone of the album around half way through. It's like the 2nd half of the album was recorded somewhere else.
Looking at recent setlist's it looks like 75% of the set is songs from the first two albums. Only 3 songs from the new one and 1 song from the 2016 album.
Poifect!
Stage time for tonight
BRUJERIA TONIGHT, STAGE TIMES 🎤
Doors: 6.30pm
Embrace Execution: 6.40pm
WORN OUT: 7.25pm
Borstal: 8.15pm
Brujeria: 9pm
:-X
Crowd looks sparse for the supports from the clips I seen, hope it fills out for Brujeria
Crowd wasn't too bad for Belfast not too far off what Godflesh got back in 2022. The band were great they put on the full show doing all the funny dancing, had the machetes on stage etc. They even lit up joints and smoked them on stage just before Consejos Narcos. I heard the bouncers giving out about it on the way out  Juan and Henry were going around the crowd shaking people's hands after it was over.
Cool!
Did they have much in the way of merch? The merch has been shit at the last few shows I've been to. Incantation had one feckin long sleeve for example.
Yeah they had 2 shirts with tour dates and a single side one, hats, bandanas like the ones they wear on stage, cds and lps. The new album was £20 so probably be €25 tonight far cheaper then nuclear blast.
Quotecds and lps
Awesome - that's what I'm after!!
They didn't have the first 3 on vinyl those have been sold out for a while. I think they may have had the 2016 as well as the new one. CD wise they seemed to have a few things but not sure what. That had signed stuff too.
QuoteThey didn't have the first 3 on vinyl t
:'(
Got excited there
Wrong thread
Playing Raza odiada now and I just copped last night they played all of side A with the exception of one song. They have great crowd interaction which I only really noticed last night as the first time I saw them was Hellfest in 07 and then when I saw them in 2018 the venue was the same size as the ambassador. Pinche Peach is with them so they have 3 vocalists.
Even better then last night and I was not expecting Jeff Walker to show up.
Seen Jeff Walker floating about and just didn't piece it together. Just good craic in general
That was just great craic from start to finish. Cool setlist too, no faff. And yeah, class having Jeff guest for a few tracks. He got the fuck outta dodge quick enough.
Merch was ace, great selection.
Colourful crowd with lots of Energy- Though there's always a Few dildos at the gig. Lot of backpacks which is infuriating, and a guy wearing a beanie. A tall one, on the cusp of June.
Sorry I didn't hit Belfast too, hopefully they'll be back.
Yea, quality gig. All bands on form, really enjoyed Worn Out, so much energy from them. I thought that was walker alright. Wasn't expecting that now. I hope they come back again. The sound was deadly too
Raging. I mentioned this to my brother yesterday, he was pissed off that he didn't know or he'd have gone. I distinctly remember telling him about it when it was announced and him saying he wasn't bothered. Could have had a handy lift on top of seeing them live. It's accomodation prices that put me off gigs these days.
