Back on a binge at the moment, especially the Belew/Fripp/Levin/Bruford era which is great. Although Red with John Wetton could be their masterpiece for me.
Must catch the recent docufilm.
Only listened to them first a few years ago. Jesus they're class. I love this version of indiscipline. Props to whoever recorded it.

Always loved their album Discipline. Sounds like a midpoint between Primus and Talking Heads. Came out off the back of Belew working with TH on Remain in Light. These two albums are a great listening double feature.
I've been a big fan of Crimson for years. I think they are in many ways the most progressive band ever. I didn't know about the documentary until reading this thread. Fascinating insight into a fascinating band. Robert Fripp is one of the most interesting men ever easily. I just wish he didn't kick Adrian Belew out of the band, you can tell in the doc that he is really hurt about it. Also sad and kind of inspiring watching Bill Rieflin facing his imminent death with such conviction.
Documentary is fairly fascinating alright, both about the band and as an almost psychological case study of Fripp.
Always good to see love for KC anyway. The epitome of a genuinely and persistently progressive band.
Very enjoyable documentary and yes, as much of an insight into the mad scientist as a music documentary. Amazing band.

Those 3 early 80s albums definitely have TA influence but you can hear the Andy Summers influence in Fripp, tonally if anything. Recently got into the album they did together which is class.
