Haven't been able to get excited about an Obituary gig for a long time now and I was never bothered checking out anything after Frozen In Time. May head to the Dublin date but really not sure.

I would've been in the same boat dude - I literally had written them off but got the new album on a whim and my god it's a banger. Seems like that tour with Slayer really rejuvenated them, serious influence on the new record.

Last time I saw them was on the Decibel tour in 2017 or 2018 with Midnight and I left half way through Obituary's set. I must check out the new album but even when I was into them to me they were always a step down from Morbid, Cannibal, Decide, Immo, Incantation etc.

The last time I saw them in Dublin was in Temple Bar when Macabre supported I think that was 2012.

Just saw that the Full of Hell and Obituary Belfast shows are being combined because they are taking place on the same day which is cool looks like very early doors as well meaning all bands should still have the same time slots.

From MCD website. Also saw Sentinel put up on Facebook that they're doing tickets for €31 cash.

Dublin sold out now and looks like tickets are low for Belfast. I would have expected Belfast to sell out first given how strong the lineup for that show is.

Sales for everything seem to be through the roof since COVID ended. Really had no idea there was this much demand to see Obituary in Ireland. Think the last 4-5 gigs I've been to in Dublin have all sold out on advance.

Not going to the gig but this festival they just played popped up on my youtube last night, I'm no drummer but it sounds to me like their drummer is struggling to keep up, like really laboured or something.

Title: Re: Obituary - Belfast Limerick Dublin

Probably because the crowd was going mad. They were screaming even when Terry Butler first came up on stage to check his bass.

All the money that MCD make and charging £5.50 a pint you would think they could put some sort of air conditioning system in the Limelight 2 I don't know how someone hasn't passed out in that place before the heat is bad enough even when a show isn't sold out.

Performance and sound absolutely spot on for me, straightforward & consistent - my only issue was the reliance on new material, but it was a tour in support of the new one so I knew what I was in for. Third time seeing them and i think thats me done, unless they pull out a World Demise set or something.

Crowd were loving it, decent pit and plenty of cheers - sunny day and a load of booze no doubt influencing the response. But as always, some real muppets in the crowd - some absolute heure screaming "move" at everyone as she tried to navigate her way though the crowd, lucky i didn't move my elbow into her drinks as she forced her way past... and some other mongo just randomly tapping people on the shoulder and then pretending he didn't . what is wrong with some people?!

So Pest Control get 30 minutes to play, less set-up time for Obituary to start? Has to be something amiss there. Like previous guys, wondering about Limerick stage times so hopefully a better guide after this gig!

Drums sounded huge! "Without a conscience" epic!

Pro: Yes, Obituary, it was good, an hour + 5mins just disappeared. Quite enjoyed it.

Cons: Thought John Tardy was going to collapse more than once! there was one or two times the band were a bit disjointed. What was with John slamming his fist into Ken Andrews Chest (more than once), hopefully he was just over excited by the crowd reaction. I'd say it hurt.

Great gig in Limerick tonight 👌 However it still seems strange to open with Redneck Stomp rather than a belter where all memebrs are involved from the off.

Redneck Stomp just seems like it should be a wrap up song where the various players are thanked and the show ends.

Twas only last night I dug into the new album but it was good shit all the same. A sold out show on a Tuesday is mad 👏👏

And yeah, John seemed to be shaking your man with excitement a couple of times, looked a bit rougher than it needed to be
