Just saw this was announced. 6 months ago I would have had no interest especially since I got to see a show on the last tour with Frank that was great and I would like to remember them live that way.
Then someone on here or on another forum posted a live video a few months ago and it looked really good. The Disgorge drummer is the current vocalist.
Dublin - Whelans June 25
Belfast - Limelight 2 June 26
Limerick - Dolans June 27
I would've been the same but ya, that set is savage.

Recent footage again for anyone that hasn't seen it yet.
Seeing them in Fibbers many moons ago was a treat, not sure how many original members left now.
One of the Cork gigs around 08 was absolutely mental! so good!

Only Terrence Hobbs.
Have seen them with this lineup a couple of times - always killer, don't hesitate on this one folks!
Have tinnitis since a gig of theirs a few years back too FFS!
No Frank, no Suffocation
Nonsense. Terrence is far more important than Frank. No question.
Also, that Fibbers gig was savage. The last time in Whelan's was great as well. Haven't seen a bad Suffocation show.

we'll have to agree to disagree there. I've seen them a few times with Frank and without him. It just seems like a Death Metal Karaoke with different vocalists on tours is all
But that is the thing this new vocalist is really good and has also been in the band for 5 years now so is permanent and he is recording a new album with them.
If this was a show with just another random vocalist I wouldn't have any interest myself.
Vocalist now Ricky Myers has been with them more than 5 years on and off i would say! Was only temp changes for a period when Kev Muller got the job (was great vocally - not sure what happened there) and then John Gallagher doin tours etc. Ricky sounds killer vocally now and fitting the role better all the time.
Cerrito will always be the most important
Admittedly, I've never seen them without Frank and consciously avoided them with the dreadlock fella cause it looked and sounded off, but the guy from Disgorge is killing it.
Never got into Suffocation but just saw a band called Party Cannon are main support for all dates, Party Cannon ffs...

is Frank no longer in the band then?
Quoteis Frank no longer in the band then?
No, he left in 2018
Ah, I didn't know that
The Dublin show is showing up as cancelled on Ticketmaster.
Weird alright, the other two shows seem to be fine.
Yeah I can't see the other shows going ahead with no Dublin date unless the venue or something has changed but even at that the 'cancelled' on TM doesn't make sense if the show is moving somewhere else.
Maybe Dublin been affected by travel? Its crazy routing they have for that part of tour - Brighton to Cartagena to Dublin.....back to back.
Didn't cop that, madness. That could be it. Wish an announcement could be made.
The have to get from Brighton,to the South east of Spain ,to Dublin!
Yeah had a look at Rock Imperium schedule there and they're taking to the stage at 23:25 on the Saturday night
Limerick is also cancelled.
European tour cancelled according to email I just read from band via Dolans
Statement seems fairly washy no?

Sounds like bollocks. A bunch of them suddenly developing injuries together? Nah. Maybe ticket sales were poor, probably not unexpected as they've been in Europe very recently (like, just a few weeks ago).
They couldnt face the trek from Brighton to Dublin via the south of Spain!
All the get well soon messages on Instagram. Nothing fuckin wrong with them.

Up there with the latest Exodus cancellation, Holt's brother broke his arm in Italy so they pulled a Euro tour. That is the worse I've heard.
They owe ye nothing lads, whatever the reason for having to cancel. Life shit happens and musicians are people first and foremost.

I think the worst thing about that was Holt and his wife got the fans to stump up €60k to fund their trip, hotels etc. Crying poor mouth. All for a minor injury for the the brother.
I don't mind donating to those things when it's a worthy cause. Blaze Bayley for example had a triple by pass recently and his missus refused donations, just asked people to buy merch. Holt really went down in my estimation, and to top it off he went to see Bruce Springsteen while he was over there. Must've been life or death for his brother.

Yes and no. The fans are effectively stakeholders. We're buying the tickets, so the least they can do is not bullshit us. Don't need the details but don't need to be treated like fucking idiots. Like Anthrax have done twice now "aww the prices are making this tour impossible" whinge whinge whinge when the reality is Charlie busy with Pantera and Ian the gimp is in 9 million other bands.

   That is truly incredible. Didn't know about the gofundme or the Springsteen which admittedly cracked me right up. Whoever paid into that 60k is a fuckin moron and Holt is a spa.
Also, to whoever said about they owe us nothing, they could just say they're not doing it but my guess is they need to spin these godawful excuses to claim back insurance on the tour.

I would also add you have people that travel far for shows, book hotels and time off work so bands can at least can be up front about what is going on.
Anyone remember a few years ago when Rotting Christ cancelled an entire tour that was suppose to come here and the excuse given was the tour was cancelled for esoteric reasons.
Lol, I remember the Rotting Christ one alright.
Ah here that Exodus one!
Esoteric reasons  ffs
Not surprised at the Exodus one. Holt seems like an utter fucking mongo. His line of merch with 'Kill The Kardashians' on it tells you everything you need to know about him.
Regarding the Suffocation cancellation, it definitely just seems like they saw an out given that half the European tour is done and decided not to take the hit financially for the rest of the tour.
Quote from: mickO))) on June 03, 2023, 06:30:05 PMI would also add you have people that travel far for shows, book hotels
I booked a hotel and flight to see Lamb of God and Kreator in Scotland, which was money down the drain when Covid hit.
They rescheduled, I booked another flight and hotel, and they cancelled that gig while the rest of the tour went on. :-[
Exactly! And you don't have the luxury of getting the fans to pay for it Holt Style!!!
All that Kill the Kardashians stuff is pure cringe.
Why would anyone want to kill the Kardashians, you don't have to watch it. I'm not totally sure what it's all about as I've never watched it but am vaguely aware of domd of it. I'm too cool to go down for that.
One of them wore a Slayer shirt so that was his response.
Very mature of him.
It's like the equivalent of when someone says to you, "WHat W0uLd yOu DO iF yoUr kID gRew up NOt liKIng mEtAL?!???!!!"
