Excellent, one of my favourite bands who always put on a good show! Nice one!
No chance of belfast too?
Just Dublin this time.
Great gigs H, well done
Tomorrow night, anyone heading?
Yeah, should be a cracker.
Yes looking forward to it.
Albatross still one of the coolest songs ever for me. Remember watching it on MTV back in the day.
Can't wait. Still live in hope that they might play Pearls Before Swine just once but even if they don't it'll be a class gig!
Deadly gig, those Corrosion lads are always on point. Great crowd too! Enjoyed Plainride, they were better live than what I'd heard online.
Ah Jaysus Plainride were fuckin awful. And I only caught two songs, could've been any band in any bar anywhere, completely devoid of bollocks and so inoffensive they were annoying.
Corrosion were excellent, never seen em before so really enjoyed it. Nothing from the last record though??? Not a major letdown but thought it was a good album and wouldn't have minded a track or two from it
Brilliant gig. Everytime I catch them they always seem so into it.
Must've been the whiskeys talkin but I thought Plainride were grand. Not sure how a band like that gets to support COC wouldn't have minded Ten Ton Slug or Two Tales of Woe being there instead.

Definitely must've been the whiskeys 'cos they were in fact utter shit. I verified there by going onto Spotify and attempting to listen to one of their tunes and couldn't complete it, though to be fair they've managed to amass quite a collection of cliches lyrically and musically speaking.

Haven't seen an exciting support in what feels like an age. It's either shite like Plainride or local support that I'm well worn with. The Slugs and The Woes, Zealot Cults etc are all excellent bands but I've seen them so many times now I'm not sure I need to see them again for a while.
Deadly gig last night. I thought Plainride were alright. COC were class. New album in the works too!
All these people saying Plainride were "Alright" or "Grand"
100% guarantee you'll never listen to them again.
Nope I won't, they were still grand though :-X
Would be interested to know what some of the setlist was if anyone would be kind enough. Do they play anything from 'Blind' 0r just 'Vote..'? Any of the old punk/crossover stuff? Wasn't there obviously, but just curious.
Nothing really out of the ordinary just songs from Blind, Deliverance, Wiseblood, Volume and Arms and the ones you'd expect.
One or two of the lads I was with were saying that they play the same stuff all the time so for them it was a bit of a disappointment, said they only ever play Vote from Blind. I enjoyed it, as I say never seen them before but maybe it'd wear thin.
From Setlist FM:
Bottom Feeder
Paranoid Opioid
Shake Like You
Seven Days
Diablo Blvd.
SeƱor Limpio
Wiseblood
Who's Got The Fire
Stonebreaker
13 Angels
Vote With A Bullet
Born Again For The Last Time
Albatross
Clean My Wounds
Also what was with the random old fella with the Lizzy covers beforehand?
Caught the last 2 songs of Plainride myself and yeah, they were grand. Not incredible, but enjoyable and certainly not "fucking awful".
Dunno who the auld lad was but fair play to him covering Lizzy songs just by himself. He was having a great time and the crowd up the front were in to it anyway, plenty singing along.
Corrosion were class, especially considering that Pepper "hadn't slept" the night previous. Great energy, great sound, would go see again.
Quotebut enjoyable and certainly not "fucking awful".
Will you buy a record of theirs?
I'm starting to think one of the Plainride lads pissed in your beer or something?
The lad who did Lizzy covers was cool, joined us down the front and in the pit for the final 4/5 songs!
They were just so inoffensive and bland

Plain - exactly what it says on the tin
No I won't be buying anything from them. I think we can all agree that a better support could have been chosen, but "fucking awful" is too far off the mark.
If by "awful" you mean 'boring', then fair enough.
