Nice one
Deadly, finally get to see Carcass!
Well, this is good - I missed them at Behemoth/Arch Enemy due to traffic.
Carcass in Dolans going to be mental!
I'm tempted, but I promised myself that Iron Maiden would be the last ticket I'd buy.
Why?
Tickets prices are getting to be ridiculous, but it's the accomodation that's the killer. Add in travel (I'm 100 miles away from Dublin), food/drink etc. and the price of going to a gig is prohibitive. The Cure this week was going to be my last one but Maiden doing Somewhere In Time songs is too good to pass up.
Fair enough, I'm looking forward to Limerick gig. I'll be driving though and even for Dublin gigs I never stay overnight because of the cost now.
Tickets out now.. In all good record stores

Record stores don't sell tickets anymore as far as I know Sound Cellar is the only place in the country that you can walk into and buy ticketmaster tickets for shows.
Does anyone know if tickets.ie be selling tickets for the Dublin and Limerick shows?
Sentinel will have them as far as I know.

Oh yeah forgot about that do you know if he sells tickets for shows up the North? Sound Cellar doesn't.

A lot of life happening between now and then, but still can't wait. Carcass, Paddy's Day, Dolan's, a match made in heaven

Unfortunately those are shitty e-tickets I just want physical ones.
Print it out sure, lol
Last time I saw Carcass was McGonagles!
Limerick sold out according to the DME socials. 8)
Doors at 6 for Belfast, is that gonna be an early enough finish to accommodate a club night?
Limerick gig should be switched to Thomond Park

Would guess so with it being a bank holiday the next day.
Strangle Wire and The Crawling support acts. Great
Looking for a Dublin ticket if anybody has anything going!
Looking for one for Limerick. Optimistic I know......
In the comments section on the carcass Facebook post re the gigs some people looked like they had extra tickets.

2 up on ticketmaster they keep adding some slowly
Shite wished I had checked in here earlier. Theres none available on ticketmaster again now :(
"Carcass with a K" would be a clever name for a Carcass cover band.

Any stage times for Limerick
Stage times for all three gigs have been posted on Facebook + Instagram
Surprised the Dublin gig sold out so quickly considering they are also playing Limerick and Belfast, they played here recently with Behemoth and I assume Dublin is even more of a nightmare accomodation wise this weekend.
Anyways, can't wait for it!
Ah not really. What did they get with Behemoth about 5 -6 tracks?
I haven't seen them live since the 90s but wouldn't have bothered with the Behemoth gig
How was the Belfast gig last night? Good set?
1 ticket available for Limerick as I can't make it.
Ticketmaster transfer at face value.
Quote from: keeper of kalessin on March 17, 2023, 10:26:46 AMHow was the Belfast gig last night? Good set?
Good but mostly post 92 material which was to be expected. Tools of the Trade was nice but they played the intro to Ruptured then just as it gets to the heavy part they burst into Heartwork which for me was so disappointing. I have seen Carcass that many times before I am positive this isn't the first time I have seen them doing this at a show.
Setlist on setlist.fm is wrong they also played Exhumed to Consume and they didn't play the Captive Bolt gun song from Surgical Steel.
They have a really nice blue shirt kind of similar to the yellow one they had at the gig last September but with a slightly different design and it just has the three Irish dates on the back. Picked that up and have the yellow one from last as well which I love. Pity Napalm didn't make an exclusive shirt like this for the shows last year.
Belfast had to of been very close to sold out as well it was in the bigger Limelight and the place was packed.
Limerick gig was fantastic craic. Band were tight as fuck and sound was great. Packed to the rafters.
Great show last night. I caught one of Bills picks and by caught I mean it hit me in the head
No complaints setlist wise, it all sounded mighty.
The blue shirt was indeed class, there was only huge sizes left when I arrived down though sadly. Don't suppose anyone going to the Dublin show tonight fancies picking me up one in M?!
Limerick was good but not great.
They have to do a necroticism set as the songs they played from that came across very well live and its their best album by a long stretch .
Underwhelmed .

plus they missed the opportunity for a green paddy's day carcass shirt too and instead had that baby blue abortion of a yoke .
Anybody know what the David Vincent playing in Dolans soon comment that Jeff made was about?
Just on my way home from the gig, really enjoyed it. First time seeing Carcass and thought they were great. I spent most of my time in the pit (for the first time in many a gig) and had great craic. Neck and arm fecked from a fall but worth it.
I thought The Crawling were grand, bit to slow tempo as a warm-up act. Didn't make it in time for Strangle Wire.
My first time too, thought it was great. No pit action for me but neck is sore.
Strangle Wire were great, thought they should've gone on second. So tight and sound was crystal clear.
Didn't care for the crawling, singers antics were a bit cringe and as said above the tempo of the material killed the buzz somewhat. Maybe on a different lineup might work better.
Merch for once was affordable but no decent sizes !!!!!

Was it just the song selection that you were underwhelmed with?
I went to the Dublin show last night having not known a single note of their material and I thought they were great. Class sound and super tight performance.
Didn't get in on time to see Stranglewire, but I thought The Crawling put on a good show and I enjoyed the mood of it.
Cracking gig in Dublin. I also wouldn't be too familiar with their material other than having Heartwork on in the background this week but yeah, familiarity helps but isn't particularly needed when the sound's on point and satisfyingly tight like the above poster said.
I personally like The Crawling. Pure workhorses. Can see how the delivery can be a bit cringe but that kind of cringe does it for me.
Great crowd too. Was one of those fun, gentle pits where everyone's up for a laugh and there's no pituitary fucker in a Slayer t-shirt crashing into young ones on the side.
Thought the Limerick gig was fantastic. Very sound crowd also, no fuck-acting whatsoever going on.
Really savage gig, best sound I've heard at a gig like it in I dunno how long. Carcass were so crisp. Bill Steer has a real effortless lead style, man is cool as fuck. I've seen them a bunch of times since 2013 and last night was definitely the best. I would have never been a diehard so setlist-wise I was content with whatever they were offering up. I like The Crawling on record, thought the big stage suited their sound too but I guess I can see how people aren't that into them.
Delighted with the setlist personally. Thought Mount of Execution was great.
I thought the sound in Belfast was kinda meh, but I need my ears cleaned. Limelight 1 has been kinda iffy for the last few gigs I've been to.
