I've already got started on the Occultation this morning, and over the Samhain/Halloween weekend it'll be more of that, along with King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Type O, Cultes des Ghoules, and Negative Plane.

So, what's your personal picks for best metal/hard rock to complement everyone's favourite liminal festival?

Rozz Williams era Christian Death for me, "Catastrophe Ballet" usually. Mind you that's a go to all year round. Ditto Samhain (the band).

Monumentum's first one and Unholy get dragged out around now, along with the annual spin of "Drawing Down the Moon"

Great shouts. Only had Catastrophe Ballet on this morning for the first time in months. I always go for bands leaning heavily into the theatrics this time of year.

Really must get some Sisters of Mercy on vinyl. Had Candlemass on yesterday and this morning started with Fields of the Nephilim while puting decorations up with the wee lad. Gotta love Halloween! :abbath:
