So the stadium tour hitting these shores. I know it's the type of music most on here frown upon, but it's the tunes a lot of us grew up on.
Be a cracking day out, tho doesn't look like poison will be there (who apparently were the stars of the US leg).
Can't see them selling out Hampden park or Wembley arena tho, unless the tickets are decent price!!
I'd love to see them at belsonic Belfast, as they are doing an unknown festival in Lancashire around same size.
What's Marley like for a gig anyway?
Altho Vince can't sing, they do put on a great show
I love that type of music, but these 2 bands are not among my faves. Will be hoping to get cheap tickets on adverts.ie a few days before the concert.
I like both bands a lot but I suspect they can get fucked when the ticket prices are revealed.

Yeah, I find it very hard to believe they can get a big crowd especially at Wembley stadium, unless tickets are around £70
Went to Crues "final" tour in Manchester a few years back, they were fucking atrocious, wouldn't bother with them again
Marley Park atrocious location. Seriously would this sell out the 3 Arena?!
I think you're all underestimating how many casuals would go to this on a July evening. I'd imagine tickets will be less than 100.

So did I, they were fuckin class. Obviously u weren't drunk enough 8) 8)
There was a time I would have jumped at this, no questions asked.
But given the state of both bands these days... I doubt it.

Me three! Thought they were really good, and having Alice there was a super sweet bonus. And how could you not love Tommy's upside down drum kit going across the ceiling?
So what became of this contract they signed never to play again?
I was right up the nosebleeds so to be fair I could have missed a lot because the sound was shite and you'd need binoculars to see anything
Then again, Alice was fucking class so Crue could have just seemed shite having to follow him
You need to be as drunk as, but no more than, Vince Neil sounds to enjoy them. No more because then you'd pass out.
If there's a bus organised I'd definitely hit this. Some pain in the hoop trying to get back into town from Marlay Park.
Isn't Mick Mars stepping down soon?

Yeah we were up high but we were close to the stage. You got to give it to the coop, you give him less than an hour playing time and he'll make it feel like a full set. He destroyed Def leppard supporting them in Belfast

Not too sure about that.
Got a Gold Circle ticket this morning. €133.15 all in. Eye watering!
With the price of these and the English dates, I wonder when the 2 for 1 ticket offers will be released!! Or mysteriously cancelled
I see Mick Mars has retired from touring, so that's one down already. Saw them last time out on there farewell tour, at a festival. Musically they were great, but vinces voice was shot back then. It hasn't improved.
Get Corabi back on guitar and vocals, fix two problems in one stroke.

^^ agreed. The album they done with corabi I liked back then. That clip is tragic.
If corabi was back they couldnt sell out the limelight. Was a very good album tho.
The Glasgow date will end up in the sse, no way they doing Hampden
John 5 in on guitar for Crue. Over qualified for that position.

Free tickets to all NHS staff will help fill it out week of the gig.
Please correct thread title, lepperd?

As was Buckethead. Hired guns par excellence (genuinely), both of them.
Money talks... hired guns do the walk
Anyone got 2 free tickets for this? I might go. Anyone going?

Seen a few shots of the very empty wembley on Saturday, was actually pretty embarrassing. Seating instead of standing area too. I heard they were selling tickets extremely cheap at the gates. If it wasn't midweek bollocks I would've went to this for a day out, if they were handing out cheap tickets
I saw the footage from Wembley. No matter what angle it was from it looked so so empty. Even at the end it looked like the crowd you would expect to see for an unknown opening act at one of these type gigs.
Id say Mammoth VH will play to the bouncers. I could be wrong.
Anyway I'm going as my brother has 2 gold circle tickets and he needs a date.
WOW!!! :-[
I couldn't make out the song till the chorus hit.
Vic reeves club singer
So why does Nikki Sixx aledegly have another guy playing under the stage for him? Isn't it harder to mime convinceningly than to actually play?
So I went to this.
Mammoth were fine, not for me.
Motley Crue were really good, he could have been singing anything. Loud as fuck where I was.
Def Leppard were good but a bit boring after Crue.
Are Mammoth playing Van Halen tunes?

Was there a decent crowd at it?
No Van Halen tunes as far as I'm aware.
Crowd wise there was apparently 20,000.
There are definite backing tracks for Motley Crue, keyboard stuff and extra vocals. Despite having read all the stuff online saying they are lip syncing etc it didn't take away from the enjoyment of the gig.
They came on and belted out hit after hit. I'd go see them again
Def Leppard played well amd all the hits but they felt sedate after Motley.

20,000 seems a lot more sensible than a 90,000 Wembley. Seen crue a few times, always a good night out. Pity Bret Michaels doesn't fancy world tours, they seemed the best of the bunch on the USA tour.
I really enjoyed both bands. No bad songs, all bangers. A good aul time

dusted off the Poison cd's this afternoon with a few beers...so good..had they stayed on the tour I'd a been all over the gig alright
