I was listening to the Verminous Serpent songs that Matt sent me again yesterday. I don't like the name or logo, but the music is really strong. It is primitive in a way, but there is a lot to sink your teeth into at the same time. Looking forward to a CD/ tape/ vinyl.
I'll keep an eye out for live footage from the gig. Leather, spikes and corpse paint all de way, bize!
I thought this might be an album launch for Unyielding Love. Any news on that recording?
Buzzing for this - great lineup. Long time since I've seen UL.
As far as I know the Unyielding Love album will be out before this.
Noice.
Yis aiming to have the VS out then too?
No, may release a tune but it hasn't been discussed.
Link to tickets added to the OP and they'll be available on the door as well.
Just over a week away.
new unyielding love is sounding vicious... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGdTKWRZs5c
Sounds good. I can hear Portal and Irkallian Oracle in the mix. Interesting artwork too that will look nice on CD/LP. Is it a self-release?
It's coming out on Anthems of the Undesirable.
Never heard of them.
Nor had I. Jamie seems to be mates with yer man.
any stage times for this?
Picked up the tapes at the Siege.
Still haven't had a chance to listen to the album yet, though.
First band will be 8pm. Unfortunately, Procession of Spectres have had to pull out due to an injury. Will update ASAP.
Hoping to hit this, is there anything by Verminous Serpent out?
Primitive BM with AA sounds interesting.
No. Album recorded and in the que for press. That'll be next year, dunno what the craic is with digital and cd.

What an massive pisser, hope everyone is alright
Closet fell on the drummer when he was coming out of it

Normally puts out hardcore/sludge/noise.
No replacement for PoS so €10 on the door. 5er back if ya bought a ticket. First band 8.30pm.
Thought this was was top class night. Shame Whelans wouldn't honour the tenner entry, but what can you do. Their midnight show cancelled too so maybe they were looking for some extra cash they weren't gonna make at that bar.
VS were really good for their first show. Hard to place what it sounded like, Celtic Frost feels like an obvious place but I was reminded of Hawkwind or Witchfinder General were strangely what stood out, outside of the more obvious BM stuff. Cool, "long" instrumental interludes. Looking forward to hearing the album when it's out.
There's not a whole pile to say about Unyielding Love live other than it's a true force to witness, a caustic live act. Insane drumming. Only ever saw em once before I think (Siege 2015?), hopefully won't be so long again. New album getting lots of spins, still getting my head around it.
Hopefully PoS get up to Dublin again sometime soon.
Ya, the door was a shambles. Just presumed we'd be doing it rather than the venue so apologies for that. Good night all in.
Ah it didn't matter, it's all in the same really, just thought it was all real abrupt the way they dealt with it.
