I just fired in a pre-order for this one. Raw, lo-fi and original sounding black metal from Finland, and featuring Harald Mentor from Ride for Revenge on vocals. Inspired by Necromantia but definitely bringing something original to the mix. I haven't been that arsed with much of this kind of stuff in recent times but there's a freshness to what these lads are at that I find irresistible.

Plenty of cool ideas in the mix. I came across Regere Sinister the other evening, which is a band fronted by the current female (am I allowed to mention that she's female or are we still celebrating women in metal without being so chauvinistic as to say 'female fronted'/ 'female bassist'/ 'female drummer'?) bassist from Ride for Revenge. Her riffs and vocals are nasty, some cool really high pitched 'female' howls that give it a unique flavour within that often quite narrow primal and bestial style. The Hail Conjuror dude makes up the other half of the duo. Some really excellent spooky keyboard action thrown in. Going to have to spend a few quid I think.
