Title: Black Magick SS (Psyche rock)
Post by: open face surgery on May 27, 2021, 01:59:35 PM
Anyone listen to these boys? Was more familiar with the controversy surrounding them than the music but threw on Spectral Ecstasy yesterday and it hit the spot. A weird mix, in theory, to have harsher vocals on psyche but it works.

It does work. Never heard of them before, thanks for this.

They're a weirdly catchy style that works. I'm not sure if Black Magick SS were the first but they've definitely inspired a whole genre of this style and imagery.

This band Behrosht for example pull off the style well:

They remind me of Tarot, there could be a connection though. Liked their last album a lot!

Probably my most listened to band of 2020. I love Rainbow Nights the best. Cuntish how hard it is to get physical copies of the music. There are extremely limited runs released every now and then. You'd want to live online to nab one. Cdr will have to do.

Quite like the psychedelic occult nazi imagery of the album sleeves. It's got that 70s b movie vibe which ties in well with the music.
