Couldn't have this thread and not mention Janick Gers.

Janick immediately came to mind when I saw the thread title. As he's been done, anyone doing this shit (this went spectacularly wrong):

Does anyone remember that band who posted on metalireland where the front man was wearing a dickie bow and was doing the splits and stuff onstage. Think they were playing chuck Berry and sepultura covers. Absolute legend of a front man. Wish I could remember their name.

Was that yer man with the fancy footwork? I think they had a really dodgy logo of something that resembled a moose/sasquatch, and I think their name might have been Morax!
Attack Attack! doing their crabcore thing

Haha ya that's them.
I remember the logo 😂
Those videos of them seem to be gone from YouTube. Pity they didn't continue on, I thought they were great craic. Some moves on the frontman.
I know it's kind of part of heavy metal to include some theatrics, but these synchronized stage moves are always absolutely toe curling when I see them nowadays.

Unless it's Priest or a direct influence a la Slayer 1983:

Ah yeah but... that's Priest though.

Morax ruled :abbath:.

Aaron Stainthorpe deserves a mention too. He looks like a lad that joined an improv drama class to impress a girl. This being a prime example.

Joey DeMaio ripping the strings off his bass is surely the winner in the handicapped stage antics stakes.

Always thought the really camp guitarist lad in Tribulation was very annoying, but I think he's gone now so that's ok. ;D
Heard him called Jodie Foster the last day which got a chuckle from me.
Not so much a shit stage move as being a cunt onstage. Skip to 36:50:

Far cry from when he made the crowd do this...
https://youtu.be/nP-j8CRO6jg
He did the same thing in Slane, apparently.
That's the usual Patton cheeky fucker schtick rather than anything prima donnaish though. Funnily enough I remember him baiting the crowd to throw pound coins at them in Dalymount years ago.
Jodie Foster was almost the most entertaining thing about Tribulation live.
It's not the 'don't throw stuff' thing I'm talking about though, it's the 'shut the fuck up' bit.
I'm aware of that.

I do remember FNM owning that day though.
I always get a kick out of the synchronised walk right after the solo in Hurricane's I'm onto you video.

Whole video is worth watching for the absolute shapes pulled but that walk gets me every time
Aaaah, the 80's was a grand aul time.
