New EP released today.
I'll give it a spin later. I hope it's better than Sinister, which was boring as fuck.
First impression is it's fine but meh.
Thrilled to see new music from them, will listen later. Artwork is not as immediately eye catching as their usual standard. As mentioned above, hopefully it's another step forward from Sinister because when they're on form they're pretty much my perfect black metal style.
I really like Henbane, can get why Sinister is a bit boring but still like it. They're a band I like but haven't made their best yet in my eyes.
First impression on the EP is fine though, agree the artwork is meh though.
I think they have most certainly peaked and I'd be very, very surprised if they ever rivalled let alone topped Haxan or Henbane.
They already did that with Coven ;)
Sinister has parts I really like that I think would fit comfortably in Henbane, but you have to put up with around 15 odd minutes of dull and forgettable stuff on the album too.
Liking this so far, more raw and uptempo, something Sinister lacked.

This. Coven is great but Haxan and Henbane are perfect.
