Such a fucking great band!
I can't find much of their stuff online.

I saw them only once in fibbers the night of my 18th birthday 13 years ago!

Afraid not haha
Saw it on an inked video the other night and it gave me such a good laugh!
One of my favourite Irish Death Metal bands. It really is a shame they never did a full length album. The two EPs are solid though. Maybe they will reform in the future ha ha
There's a decent enough chance some former members lurk around these parts; did I imagine squelch posting on MW, or am I confusing with the end days of MI?
They were a great band, and sound. We gigged with them a fair few times. Niall (?) was a savage lead guitarist too.

Such a tight band. yeah Niall was a class guitarist and sound out as well.
Squelch's vocals and overall performance were amazing, so guttural and a complete fucking maniac on stage.
My copy of their 1st demo is totally unplayable :'(
If my memory serves me correct, the first EP was called Nullify, but I can't for the life of me find my copy, must have lost it over the years. If anyone has a copy I would love to hear it again!
Normally I'd tell you to check out the Irish Metal Archive, but it seems they're not on there! Either that or they were dropped because Squelch was snapped storming Leinster House recently...? :abbath:
Hahaha, another Metal legend...

Hey man
I'd say that was a good 18th birthday in sweaty fibbers when social distancing would have been great especially at the urinals with the guy selling chewing gum and lollipos...
Our music was too old school and brooootal for online...seriously though I must upload the 2 demos.
I can send you a copy of both in the post.pm me if you want them.
I must go listen to Solace of nadir demo now :abbath:

The demos were called 'Nullify' (2003) and 'Eluded By Enlightenment' (2006/07)
I have them alright... Just not got around to adding them yet.
Just added Nullify to the IMA bandcamp now.
I'll fill out info on it later.
I'll dig out the second one and add it as soon as I can.

Did one of those demos come in a DVD case?
Yeah. I have that one. Possibly the earlier one as well. I imagine the idea for the packaging came from Noisy Mute as that was a bit of a thing in the doom scene at the time, and he was big into that stuff.
Only have a physical copy of the Nullify one myself.
Official version and a basic photocopied promo CD-R
Photos/Scans of them are up on the IMA site now...

I had Nullify on CD but I've lost it over the years. I was only 13 or something when I got it and I didn't look after my cds because I has a little spa

Haha! Got it in one. I think I was inspired by the Moss/Torture wheel split. I believe we'd gotten a good price on CD duplication, but the cost was for the CD only. Worked out cheaper to get those flat DVD style cases and print a single sided sleeve to slip into them. The non-shelf friendly size also really annoys some people so that was an added bonus.
We recorded that second one in Shay's studio in Loughrea on either yourself or Ray's recommendation after you'd recorded the two WOTH demos with him. An infinitely more pleasant and enjoyable recording experience than the first demo by a long shot.

This resonates well with my chakras
Have both demos at home and always enjoyed them live which seemed to be quite often back then.
Both up on the Archive now... :abbath: :abbath: :abbath: :abbath:

Ah class, fair play!
I have the Eluded demo knocking around as well, it was really good too, but that massive case always fucked up the look of me CD collection.
