From their upcoming album which I'm surprised there isn't a thread on (or is there?).
And they appear to have gone almost goth in their sound.

Pretty sure there was talk of it somewhere on here before Xmas. I was uncertain at first but actually really like it and think it could work well in the context of the album. Will reserve judgement.
Yep, Alexander von Meilenwald isn't anything if he isn't varied in his musical tastes.
I'd say this album will follow on in the vein of Exuvia (2017)......
Jaysus lads, hard to believe that Blood Vaults is 8 years old already,
I'm really looking forward to this new one {The Thule Grimoires} at the start of next month.
Must put a pre-order in actually.
Another tune up now as well. Not as Type O as the first and again I enjoyed it but not blown away but I'm still intrigued. Near wrote them off after that Takitum EP but was silenced by Exuvia so again will give the whole thing a lash when it's released.

Yup, I like it too. Both new tunes hitting the spot...

Both songs sound great, pulled the trigger on the LP pre-order this morning
New album up.....

Had a listen last night off YouTube, sounds great but it will need plenty of listens to fully digest, loads of twists and turns as to be expected.
Liking this a lot. Another top quality product from Alexander von Meilenwald an Co...
Sounds amazing so far, the tracks are so well crafted. Will be getting a lot of plays over the next while
Yeah, this is hitting more immediately even than the last couple.
Ah deadly I didn't even realise there was an albim coming out, this thread managed to evade me until now. Will give this a lash tomorrow.
Only made it have the way through. Not feeling it at the minute but I'll come back to it.
Couple of tracks have a bit of a Rotting Christ vibe going on. 'Polar Hiss Hysteria' even had me looking up to see if Sakis hadn't done a bit of guest vocals.
Foulest semen of a quarantined elite, wha'!
Yeah this is lethal, just at the last tune now. Immediately great, plenty in it to keep you coming back.
Can't stop thinking about the break around 4 minutes into Kromlec'h Knell
Man, what a great album. Have all of TROB on vinyl and this will be following suit.
I also love the fact that the new album cover actually represents the album title. So rare nowadays...
As an aside, how fucking great are all of the song titles on all of the TROB albums?
Yeah this is top class alright. I picked up the digital on Bandcamp Friday but will grab a vinyl copy later on in the year.
New album on the way from this other mad scientist too.
QuotePeople, by the end of the year The Ruins Of Beverast will release a new album via Ván Records.
The album is entitled "Tempelschlaf" and features seven songs, produced by Michael Zech at the Church Of Sound, mastered by V. Santura.
Displayed is Jordan Barlow's album artwork.
Here's the tracklist:
1 - Tempelschlaf
2 - Day Of The Poacher
3 - Cathedral Of Bleeding Statues
4 - Alpha Fluids
5 - Babel, You Scarlet Queen!
6 - Last Theatre Of The Sea
7 - The Carrion Cocoon
Further details and samples will follow in good time.
For me, even though I'd place their pinnacle way back with Foulest Semen and rarely revisit the last two, Exuvia and The Thule Grimoires, this is imo nevertheless another project with a full discography winning streak, so definitely eager to hear what's coming next.
Exuvia is amazing. Completely forgot about the follow up.
The last two albums were great. Its the shitty production on Rain that ruins that album for me. Would love to see them again when touring the new LP but probably not much chance of an Irish headline show again after the last ones.
Exuvia is unreal alright. These days I revisit either that or the first two albums. Wasn't as mad on the last one but it's still very good. Interested to see where he goes next.

I'd recommend you go back to Rain. I did at some point and it's now up there as potentially my favourite.
It's a great back catalogue to immerse ones self of an evening, that's my evening sorted. The Thule Grimoires is just a different beast, personally I love the atmosphere and reach for it regularly. So many fantastic bands releasing new material good times.
Exuvia didn't click with me at the time and I never really went back to it. Must rectify that. The Thule Grimoires is cracking. A superb band, overall. Hoping this release is of the standard.
Happy days. Didn't know they had new stuff out. Sounds amazing, as expected.
EDIT: It appears I didn't listen to their latest offering at all, and confused it for new stuff
At least I have something to listen to today

I will try again but I have tried loads of times already.
Foulest Semen was the high point for me. I didn't really get in to the following two albums at all. Must get them back on rotation seeing as I'm driving an antique with a cd tray and no working Bluetooth
Then I'll check out the newest gear. Was great excitement back in the day when Ruins first started playing live. Was some experience those early gigs.
Out today.
Gonna spend sometime with it tonight possibly with a glass of red or two.
Just after downloading it and putting it on the iPod will give it listen now when I take the dogs out for a walk. ROB albums always take forever to get into so not expecting much on this first listen.
Just shy of an hour runtime, short by their standards. First spin out for a stroll on lunch there, sounds good, different I would say, but agreed, they take time and repeated listens to get to grips with.
First listen to this and it is savage. Plenty in here to dig into so I see this being in rotation for a while. Good auld new album for the start of the year.
Quality album. Will be grabbing a copy ASAP.
Couple of spins last night and it's top tier, beautiful flow to it! Even breaks into a little funk on Last Theatre...class act.
