Title: Streaming music dvds/live performances
Post by: Pedrito on September 29, 2020, 09:05:03 PM
Apart from youtube which is often ropey in terms of sound quality etc, is there anywhere else I can get my favourite live performances to watch on the smart tv or computer instead of downloading or actually inserting a dvd(god forbid)?

Essentially a spotify for live dvds?

This is something that I'd definitely pay a subscription for. Live videos, making of albums and band documentaries on one platform.

The big boys like Atlantic/Geffen/Universal/Sony/MTV certainly have the back catalogue. Obviously all of us here would be more interested in smaller labels but surely there must be a market for this.

I mean if you can buy soiled jocks from a vending machine on the streets of Tokyo...

Be a great idea, would save me having to trawl through endless shitty youtube videos for something decent

I must patent the idea. I was desperate for some Rush the other night. Now youtube is a regular treasure trove but to be able to bave 'Rush in Rio', the full film experience instead of the slightly blurry version on youtube...I'd pay a fiver a month for it easily.
