Title: Reed Mullin RIP
Post by: Wiseblood on January 28, 2020, 06:19:04 AM
So a 3rd drummer dies in recent weeks and this time it's Reed. While he wasn't technically in the same league as Peart and Reinert the man had a unique style and his playing on Blind in particular was top notch.

Seems he had some demons with drink in recent years.

Shit news all round. He was in and out a lot over the last few years with the drink problem.

Properly shit buzz.

COC's music wouldn't lend itself to the same sort of technicality that Peart and Reinert displayed, but I still think Million's playing was really accomplished to the point where he's an underrated player.

His contribution to Blind is part of what makes it and all time classic.

R.I.P.

No point comparing or mentioning Reinert et al lads, apples and oranges. Reed was a fine drummer and when you play on records as good as Deliverance and Blind your legacy is cemented. RIP

Christ on a bike... three gone and it's still only January.

Have they been tested for the Coronavirus. ( :P too soon?)

That could put the skids on their April shows I guess?

They've been mostly playing with an English lad behind the kit for the last three years, I think. I don't believe it affects the band, per se, outside of the personal turmoil. Mullin had been in bad shape for a long time.
