Kelly Schaefer just posted that Reinert died, apparently of heart failure. Absolutely astounding drummer, Cynic will be getting a few spins tonight

Ah fuck. He was years ahead of every other drummer back in the day. Brutal news and such a young age to go at. It's an overused phrase but his playing on Human really did change how I perceived drumming.

He could play like this at 19 FFS.

nail on the head.  Feels like yesterday I bought Human and ITP on the same day on casssette with money I had earned working all Summer. People talk about experiences on hallucinogenics. Well listening to Human was something akin to that..mind expanding, perception bending, life altering. What a loss.

Horrible news. 'Human' will always be one of my favourite albums and Reinert was arguably the most impressive musician on it, progressive and powerful. R.I.P.

Whipped on Human this morning,its an album i think i will never get tired of listening to,everything from the songs to the cover art is perfect.

Glad i got to see him play that time with DTA.

Joy Payne (played with Divine Heresy and bass with Nile for a few years) died the same day as Reinert, aged all of 35.
