Title: Vocal effect pedals
Post by: StrangersWithGuns on January 21, 2020, 02:58:45 PM
I'm an extremely limited vocalist, it's spoken words and intermediate roars. But i'm looking for a very specific type of sound. for one track Anywhere know how I can recreate something that sounds like this. Any help would be appreciated.

Ian from Horse uses vocal effect boxes with great results. I'm not sure if he posts on here but he used to on Metal Ireland.

As an aside - you've mentioned that you're a "limited vocalist" but you wanted to achieve something akin to Mike Patton? Might as well shoot for the moon I guess.

Cheers for letting us know.

Also c'mon man, i'm not aiming to sing like the man. I'm looking for the effect he has on his voice.

I was applauding your chutzpah not damning it.

All the best with your efforts.

Sounds like a filter and maybe something like a green bullet mic.
